Bhutan at a Glance

At the Airport we will be greeted by a representative. After lunch we will take a scenic drive to Thimphu.On reaching Thimphu we will visit Buddha Point( a giant statue,169ft tall of Buddha sitting on hill), In the evening visit TashichoeDzong(a fortress of glorious religion) which houses the office of His majesty the King and Central monk Body. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

After breakfast, we enjoy the scenic drive to Punakha with a stop for tea at Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), where on a clear day we get spectacular views of the Himalayas.we will hoist the prayers flag for the well-being of all the sentiment beings around the world. Then we drive downhill through rhododendron, fir and hemlock forests. We then pass through rice fields along river banks and reach Punakha. We visit Punakha Dzong. Built in 1637, it is the second oldest Dzong in Bhutan.After lunch, On the way to Thimphu, we stop at Metshina Village and take a 20-minute walk through the rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to the Devine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley .Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

After breakfast, we will drive to Paro and we hike for 4 -5 hours to Taktsang (Tigers Nest Monastery, which is Bhutans most famous monastery situated at 3,180 meters. In 8th century Guru Rinpoche (spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. Lunch will be served in the Cafeteria Restaurant, located about halfway up the mountain. After having explored the monastery, we hike down to the valley.We will stroll around the main street of Paro town and if you wish to, we can visit farm house for a typical Bhutanese dinner, a traditional hot-stone bath and play Traditional Archery. Overnight at hotel in Paro.

Today after breakfast, we will drive to Paro Airport and our representative will bid you farewell at the Airport. If you have enough time before flight, probably you can discuss with your guide and visit some places around.
